Here is what I turned on in Tools > Accounts > Edit Accounts > Options: X Live Sync (stay connected with server) X Only Connect to IN Box X Connect Immediately Upon Launch X Disconnect from Server after 5 Minutes X Check for unread messages in subscribed folders Once I turned all these on the counts now seem to work correctly. Emptying the Cache helps when I delete messages and the message counts do not always immediately update.
