If you guys are running Exchange 5.5 then this is because in Entourage 2001 we had a hack in to parse the text description of a meeting req and attempt to add the appt to the calendar. However, as soon as the appt was updated our hack broke. Right around the middle of our development of Entourage 2001, Exchange 2000 was rolled out at Microsoft. One benefit to this was that Exchange 2000 converts all old proprietary cal appts (sent by all versions of Outlook) to iCal message which we understand just fine.
