Tell you what - try this little experiment. Start up Classic and get an
application running. Set up Entourage to error. Create a new email account
that doesn't exist and create a schedule so that Entourage will go looking
for mail at that account in a few minutes.

Return to that Classic application and make sure the application's window is
next to the dock so the animation touches the Classic window. Now, wait for
the error to occur. Watch what happens. Tell me you can ignore the
continuous screen redraws and just continue working!

That is what I experience at least twice a day and it is annoying as hell.
Do I want to be notified about new mail? Heck yes! But I also have the
misfortune of using an email account that is on a very busy server and times
out one or two times a day. I don't need to be told of this error but eRage
sure wants to tell me about it. eRage - sure is an appropriate name at
times.
