Maybe, maybe not. I know I was able to import my CONTACTS from Palm Desktop
when I first installed Entourage; there is an option on import to select
Palm Desktop. So, I was thinking I could do the same with calendar and todo
items. However...now that I think about it...I'm not sure those import.
Also, apparently Palm has change the database format somewhat for OS X (they
talk about "importing" the data rather than just copying the database
files), so perhaps Entourage won't be able to import anything at all
directly. It remains to be tried by someone...

I'm quite sure one could export contacts into a tab-delimited text file and
then, with some effort, import that into the other program--in either
direction. But as far as syncing, or partial transfers of updated contacts,
I'm not so sure. I just experimented. I read somewhere that you could use
.vcf files to transfer contact info, and you can. In either app, drag a
contact to the desktop. Result: a .vcf file. Now, with the other app open,
drag the file to its dock icon. Result: contact is added to the other app.
Don't know what happens in case of duplication (does it update, replace, or
duplicate)? Try it and see.

As for calendar events. Well, PD allows exporting of all four kinds of data
to tab-delimited files. Paul has written scripts to export/import almost
everything (he's still working on them) but when done, I presume some combo
of PD's very thorough exporting and Paul's scripts would allow us to
transfer almost everything, if direct importing isn't possible into
Entourage (which is the only direction I am concerned about). And the
scripts plus PD's importing functions (from tab-delimited files) would be
the only way I can think of to get data from Entourage to PD.

As I only plan to do this once (when the Erage conduit comes out), I'm not
concerned if it takes some manual editing to make it happen.
