It must be the ram, but again, it could be the itunes helper app that loads on login. But, I'm 95% confident it was the ram. Either that or an unexplained miracle! Crash logging is done by the console. In your Applications/Utilities folder there is a program called console. Run this. It basically opens up a special terminal window. Under the preferences there is a crash pane. Turn on crash logging.
