With OS X, we get all of these wonderful Unix utilities for free since they are part of the kernel on which OS X is built. I find it fun to open the terminal window once in a while and practice my long-forgotten Unix commands. I even downloaded and installed a bunch of Gnu software that is standard Unix stuff.
