When I insert a URL, it's immediately clickable. If I type the URL, instead of inserting it, it becomes clickable as soon as I end the URL with a <space> or <return>. If I try to click inside the URL to adjust it, I can't for the reasons you explain. On the other hand, I can use the arrow keys to move the insertion point into the URL, and edit away! I encourage you (and anyone else who is interested) to launch Word and see how it works. It seems to me that Entourage should behave the same way as Word, whether I'm inserting the URL into an e-mail message, into a Note, or any other context. If I'm sending e-mail it's not a big concern, since the URL *does* work when received (as you pointed out). On the other hand, I first noticed this problem when I tried to insert a link into a Note, but couldn't make it function as a hyperlink. AFAIK a Note is always editable text. According to your description, perhaps this means that hyperlinks which have been inserted (or typed) into a Note are *never* clickable? Ah well. Add that to my wish list!
