Of course, some ISP's use PPPoE..there might be a prob with auth or
something.  I'm guessing this, I have no personal experience with PPPoE
on the mac, for all I know its built into the OS...

Diane,

What do you mean "lost out on a lot of savings?"  Why can't you just
configure your TCP/IP stuff on your own and use whatever DSL/ISP combo
you want?  I used my mac on plenty of services that don't support macs
- heck I told BellAtlantic that I had a PC so they'd come hook up my DSL
way back when.  I had my mac running on it before the tech even left the
house (totally amazed, too).  I think I'm confused...
