I install about 3 Airport network per week and I never use a router to do
what you are trying to do. I do assign IP for each Cpu regardless if they
are using an Airport card or not. I do use switches instead of hubs for the
hardwired machines tho.. The Airport base station act as a router/firewall
also. And regardless if they are Mac OS 8, 9 or X and also mix them, with
Window machines. Everybody is on the internet at the same time with 1 IP..
