To get rid of all news messages from a news server, control-click the news
server in the folder pane and select Empty Cache. To get back any that you
want just click on news group(s) to download your quota of headers again
(which can be adjusted in Tools--> Accounts --> News --> [news server] -->
Options ), and if necessary click More button.
