First, backup everything. Second, try to rebuild the database that has everything (opens fine) one more time. If it fails, I would just open it, copy the messages from the 9-days that you have lost - you should be able to just drag the messages or folders to a folder on your computer, and it will export it as an mbox file (is that right?). Then, open the good database that is most current (lost 9 days) and drag those mboxs into that. It will import the messages into a new folder probably.
