I couldn't reproduce this - but the only way I could *get* to the second
line was to put a return in the first line, since the -- above my signature
is on the second line of the message. Aha - I could make what I typed go
away by putting my cursor in front of the -- and typing, then changing .sig.
Isn't the -- part of the .sig, though, so that's appropriate behavior (it
isn't part of what you create as the .sig, but is part of what E'rage puts
in as the .sig.
