I've been following this thread - I've got the exact same issue - the
"blank" email entries, then if the highlight bar moves over them, I get the
same error message (4236). The number of blank entries never seems to be the
same -- I may scroll up and down the list, and the number of entries seems
to vary. It's almost like a video issue, though I'm sure its not that. But
the error is the same. I can't delete them without getting the error.

It all seemed to begin when I began deleting a large amount of remote IMAP
messages off my ISP. I had "leave on server" checked for a long time, but
after it got really filled up I decided to use the online browser to delete
them all. The process seemed to go okay after a long time (there was about
10000 messages to be deleted).

It was after this that I began getting the errors. I'm not thrilled at the
observations that this "begins a downward spiral" etc. Hopefully a rebuild
will do. I'm not at the program now, but I know the db must be pretty big,
though I'm guessing less than 2 GB certainly.
