Returning to the actual topic of this thread, which no one so far has addressed...address autofill.
I have a Rev B iBook, 300 MHz, and I have over 1500 entries in my Address Book. If you think <your> autofill is slow...!! I have reported this problem to MS, and even sent them a copy of my Address Book. They claim they cannot reproduce the problem, even on an older machine. All I know is that, ever since I switched to EvX, I have had sluggish autofill. The first two characters take several seconds to show up; the remaining ones are a bit faster. (Apparently, they do preliminary filtering on the first two characters before displaying any list.) A name like "Robert" may take 7 or 8 seconds to complete. However, I've found that 90% of the time I don't have to wait. If I tab or hit Return (to move to the subject field), the autofill completes and fills in the most common choice. If I have ten Roberts, but type fast, I will get my "usual" Robert. If I need another Robert, I have to wait those 7 or 8 seconds for the autofill to complete before I can pick. The other 10% of the time, like you, I end up with just an undefined string in the address field instead of the desired E-mail address. I may type "greg<return>"; I have three "greg" entries in my AB. But what shows in the To field is just "greg"; no autofill. When that happens, I click back to the address field, delete the last character and re-type it; the autofill kicks in and fills out the right address. Annoying, but livable. UNFORUNATELY, I don't think the MBU considers this enough of a problem to expend much energy on it. Only fast typists get hit with it, for one thing, and only fairly large Address Books. And believe me, it used to me <much> worse! The MBU guys made it a lot better and faster, but there still is room for improvement. The Palm Desktop Software (even the beta; I have not installed the final as yet) does it way faster.
