Ok, that part is irrelevant then. you were just looking for messages whose
category is Junk in a folder you selected arbitrarily.

One of two possibilities, then:

1) The little QuickFilter actually looks for Junk status as well as Junk
category. So it found messages whose status is Junk and category is "None",
as well as any messages whose category you may have set to Junk.


2) The little QuickFilter has a bug where Categories are concerned.

In either case, maybe an MS program manager or developer will comment.
