Actually not every message has the unsubscribe link on it. In the past few
days I have actually seen several that did not have those instructions.
Consequently if a person receives such a message and they do not recall
subscribing to the list because it is of no interest to them there is no
clear indication of how to unsubscribe.
Here is a letter from Ruth Roscorla, adressed to the Outlook Express list,
that illustrates clearly what I mean:
How can I get off this goddam list?

Subject: a question about NetScape AOL Instant Messenger

Dr Roger Millen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:

Dear group members- there's so much good info'n out there that I was hoping
someone could help me with this one:

I've just upgraded from a Performa 6400 to a G4. I've re-installed NetScape
AOL Instant Messenger but, unlike Yahoo & MSN Messengers, the "Buddy List"
was lost in transit.

Does anyone know in which folder/file the "Buddy List" info'n is stored?

Thanks!

roger
