Hi John, I think you mean the Progress window. In Entourage 2001, you open it from the Window menu on the main Entourage menu bar. It should stay open unless you close it by clicking the Close Window box. You may have done this without realizing it.
By the way, please always state your OS and software version numbers; it makes it easier to give useful advice.
