Most digests I do burst in Entourage; but once I find myself doing that, I usually switch to individual messages instead of digests. I have DSL, so there isn't any penalty to receiving lots of individual messages. Now that I think about it, there are only two lists I get in digest form any more. The other is a list I started, need to monitor, but no longer participate in. I just scan the digests to make sure things are not getting out of hand and there are no problems I need to step in to handle, and if not, I delete the digest. The only digest I use DV for any more is the AppleScript list, which is so prolific there are 3 to 4 digests per day. DV lets me easily save individual messages; the threading, as Julian pointed out, is more robust than Entourage's (and you can merge threads from several digests if you like). When I'm done skimming through, saving what I want, I delete the whole digest with a single command, versus the dozens it would take for individual messages. (Even if I select a batch and use a single Cmd-Delete, I still have to go through selecting them all.) I just find I get through the messages a lot quicker in DV than I do in Entourage, and I can't really tell you exactly why. I also like not having all those messages cluttering up my Entourage database. Oh, yeah, another thing: DV handles YahooGroups digests; Entourage does not. -- My web page: <http://home.earthlink.net/~allenwatson/> My scripts page: <http:homepage.mac.com/allenwatson> Microsoft MVP for Mac Entourage/Word--<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
