First problem: Only a wild guess for that one: Maybe her date is off beyond all appointments that she scheduled, and she gets those reminder because for the EntX they are due (or better overdue). Second problem: Office X comes with a Remove Office Folder (this is an option during install) which contains the application to remove the office completely, but you would still need to manually remove the preferences and back up you Microsoft User Data. Then you should be able to install the legal copy and install the update. Third "problem": I think it was also reported on this list that if you have trouble with your legal installation after the update, that Microsoft support was very quick and efficient to help out - so get the phone number ready and don't install the update at midnight or with critical documents to be finished.
