Not the complete story Paul. You only see those links if you read your
messages in their own window. If, like me, you read mail in the preview
pane, you won't see those links.

However, what you will see, and what I did see and recognise, was that the
invitation has a different icon on the message list. I saw this, recognised
it for what it was and opened the invitation in it's own window to decline
it.

The whole row seems to hinge on the fact that people didn't recognise it for
what it was - mainly, I suspect, because many people don't use invitations
and there is no printed manual to read in your spare time.
