How do you go about it when you start a new thread? Do you: (1) 'reply' to an existing list message and change the subject line; (2) open the address book, control-click the list address and choose 'new message to' from the contextual menu; (3) run a script to open an appropriately addressed new message, or (4) use some other cunning method I haven't mentioned.
I usually go for option (1), but I'm not proud of it. There's something about having to replace an irrelevant subject line that leaves a faintly, bitter aftertaste, and I'd far rather start with a blank slate. Sometimes I plump for option (2), but the 'new message to' item is hidden away so far down the contextual menu that I've often forgotten why I wanted to send a message by the time I get there. As for option 3, it might be handy to have a folder of scripts that open new messages to lists in the scripts menu, and if anybody has some sample code for making new pre-addressed messages I'd be interested to see it. Another option I'd like to have available is stationery/template documents that I can open direct from the Finder - but those double-clickable email address documents don't seem capable of holding 'name' info for addresses, which makes them unsatisfactory. Again, I suppose scripts could do the job. But how do _you_ do it. Please tell.
