I was able to get my old mail -- I could still access the "unrebuildable"
DB, so I dragged each mailbox to the desktop, then used Paul's scripts to
export everything I could. I rebuilt the DB and got almost everything back.

I've actually been wondering the same thing, Diane -- whether or not my
original import from E2001 to EvX might have been slightly corrupt, and that
corruption might have been silently compounding itself, which might explain
why the databases that have been restored from a backup ended up getting
hosed as well?
