Well, I use Earthlink (which is fairly strict about use of their email
servers) and it doesn't cause a problem with them. It's only a problem (for
me) if I try to use a 'foreign' mail server to send email while connected to
Earthlink. I've never tried with mac.com (and couldn't send through their
server anyway due to Earthlink's restrictions).
