All of that may be true. However, in the several years I have been using it,
NONE of those odd cases have ever occurred and the script has never failed
for me. If it does, no big deal; I get a message with bracketed material in
the subject line. For me, at least, those instances seem to be so rare as
not to be worth worrying about. People with many foreign correspondents, or
correspondents whose mailers use the numbering scheme, may need something
else.
