Did you try dragging a contact to a message or the desktop to check? You get to keep the special characters that way. It's evidently a sort of limitation in the scripting. At the time the script was written, Unicode was not yet functioning properly in AppleScript, and accented characters may have been coerced to unaccented characters.. Now Unicode works. I'll make a revision of the script that I think should preserve the special characters and will send it to you to try out. P.S. You're still sending script problems to the mailing list instead of to me. Why is that? -- Paul Berkowitz MVP Entourage PLEASE always state which version of Entourage you are using - 2001 or X. It's often impossible to answer your questions otherwise. -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:Entourage-Talk-Off@;lists.letterrip.com> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
