I am not having that problem, but a different one (perhaps related). Quite non-deterministically, EVX just hangs and the ball starts spinning. Sometime this happens when I am reading mail, sometime when EVX is in the background and I want to go to it, and a minute ago when I was composing a message. The ball keeps spinning and sometimes it recovers on its own (rarely) and most of the time I have to kill it and restart.
