Not LiveSync: not IMAP.

I have experienced it with a non-HTML message in the preview pane, and I
think I have experienced it with Entourage _not_ the frontmost app. The
reason it came to my attention was suspiciously slow behavior in other apps,
which I wouldn't have detected if they weren't in the foreground. (In logic
there could be exceptions, but they don't happen to apply to this case.)

(I wonder, however, if it could _begin_ with a complex-HTML message, then
persist even when that is no longer the current message...?)

Classic is not running.

I did the "Typical Rebuild" last week. My traffic is about 100 messages a
day. so the rebuild should still be good (?) I can't so the test right now
(see below).

None of these in use here.

I have not experienced the condition since my last relaunch, so I can't test
right now. A typical sneaky bug, disappearing just when I get my microscope
out... <grin>
