Okay, well, in case anyone cares, here is what I did in more detail: Yesterday when I did the drag-and-drop export it appeared to finish too. I used Entourage+SpamSieve for a day before noticing that it had marked a piece of e-mail spam from someone who is in my Entourage address book. When I looked the folder I had used to drag the contacts too, they were not there. So, I tried again, and it appeared to complete the export again, but it only created 220 .vcf files. I rebooted, and got the same thing - it takes a minute or so and then appears to have finished copying, but only 220 files are created.
It worked fine when I divided my contacts up into batches of 200. I'll stick to Paul's applescript from now on. -Lewis On 2/14/03 1:11 PM, "Laurie A.
