If it's serious enough to ask for a rebuild, it means an Advanced Rebuild. First go to System Preferences/Login Items, and remove Microsoft Database Daemon. (That will stop the Notifications problem.) Then Log Out and In (Apple menu) or restart computer. Then do an Advanced Rebuild.
