This is a portion of the Entourage crash log. I'm seeing similar messages in the Word crash log:

Date/Time: 2003-02-24 17:06:17 -0500
OS Version: 10.2.3 (Build 6G30)
Host: PowerbookG3

Command: Microsoft Entourage
PID: 547

Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001)
Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE (0x0002) at 0x00000004

Interesting. Kernel protection failure.

Any thoughts?

When I attempt to open Entourage X using my main identity, I see the following warning:

"Entourage cannot access your data. To attempt to fix the problem, rebuild your database."

When I attempt to do so (typical rebuild), Entourage reports:

"The database could not be rebuilt because there is not enough room on the disk to create the new database files."

The database is 248 MB. The docs claim that double that space is enough to perform a rebuild. My disk has more than double the space available.

In addition, Office Notification crashes when attempting to start.

Another interesting symptom is that when I start Word, Excel, or Powerpoint, I see the following message:

"An unexpected error occurred while trying to load the Microsoft Framework X library."

I have already deleted and reinstalled Office X, but the problem remains.

Have any Entourage users seen this problem?

TIA,

Rick
