I'm almost positive as well that it would work with that deletion behavior. I would rather that the messages stay in Deleted Items for a period of time, though (I have the Deleted Items folder set to permanently remove messages older than 5 days). Ah, well...I guess I can't have my cake and eat it too (though this would be a nice feature to have... hint, hint!).
