Disposition-Notification-To is a request for a "read" receipt. In other words, when the message is opened on the recipient's computer, IF their software supports it and IF the recipient hasn't turned this feature off, an email is fired off indicating that the message was opened. It's been discussed on the list many times and there are step-by-step instructions (basically the same as Barry provided) on the Microsoft MVPs site <http://www.entourage.mvps.org/toc.html>. What I don't remember having been discussed are Delivery Status Notifications. These are supported by the mail server of the recipient and a receipt is sent back to you when the message you sent is delivered to the recipient's mailbox. The header to add for this is "Return-Receipt-To" with a value consisting of your e-mail address. Then IF the recipients mail server supports it (CommuniGate Pro, Exchange, Sendmail, etc.) AND IF their mail server admin hasn't turned it off (for privacy/security), then you'll get a notification when your message is delivered to the recipients mailbox. -Remo Del Bello -- "...I was talking aloud to myself.
