  I've seen the same thing when sending messages while off-line. The sent
messages are never transferred to the IMAP Sent Items box, but remain
locally.

  (I seem to recall filing a bug report with Microsoft on this for 10.1.2,
along with a few others that still exist in 10.1.4).
