Here's a third way...
Quit Entourage, go into your MUD folder, Identities, duplicate your
identity. Name it something like 2002.
Open Entourage into the 2002 identity, search for all items whose date is in
2003. Delete them. Do the same for items 2001 or older.
Now go into your real identity and delete all of the 2002 items.
