That's not speed, that's multi-tasking. And there's no doubt OS X is better at that. It's nice to be able to have Entourage and Photoshop and Illustrator and Quark and Explorer all open at once and also not have to worry about quitting them in the reverse order they were launched. It doesn't change the fact that they often launch slower and run slower. Entourage X runs slower than Entourage 2001 and OS X runs slower than OS 9, those are just facts. Does that keep me away from Entourage X and OS X? No, because they are more capable.
