Entourage X does not RUN slower than 2001 - it just has slower window
actions (opening, changing focus, etc.) That's the OS. It has much more
sophisticated and complex window and display than OS 9. That's apparent in
Entourage, Finder, everywhere - they're all slower at window management.
Maybe Panther will be dramatically faster at these things. As for Entourage,
searching (Advanced Find), Custom Views assembly, deleting large numbers of
messages, database rebuilding - they're all MUCH faster in Entourage X. I
can't think of any other activity that's akin to "running" in Entourage -
schedules run more smoothly, with less disruption. Mail checking has nothing
to do with the OS or app, but with your ISP.
