The messages do not come from MS at all - the virus puts a "fake" from address to make you think its from MS so you will open it, thereby infecting your computer (if you have a PC). This has been the case with almost every virus in the last few years (faking the from address) and is nothing new.
The reason you get them is that someone with your email address in their address book or in an email that has your address in it or whatever has been infected. The virus scans their system extracting email addresses from wherever it can, puts a FAKE "from" address (or it randomly selects an address and puts that in the from) and mails itself out. Just like you can write anything you want as the return address on a paper envelope you put in the mail, a virus (or email program) can do the same. -Steve On 9/23/03 4:30 PM, "Mike Panas" wrote: > Me too.
