Dear List,

Some week ago I've been told about a nice way to prevent opening and
password-protecting Entourage X, creating a disk image containing the
"office X identities" folder, placing an alias of it in the "Microsoft user
data" folder, so that my disk image would be mounted any time Evx starts up
and requires it.
I then close Evx when I'm done and eject the disk image.

I simply created an encripted image (with password) and that was it.
Perfect!

I've never understood that also the other MS apps ask for that folder, so
perhaps for the first time today I opened Word and Powerpoint and I was
prompted for the password to mount the disk image.
PP says it needs the "Microsoft framework X library"...

It seems weird, since only Evx files (identities: main identity) are listed
in "office X identities" (as far as I can see...).
Is that an invisible file?

Also, Is there a way to save those required file(s) somewhere else, so that
I can keep on using the disk image that way and opening other MS apps
without "office X identities"?

Better, is there any chance the next Evx will be password protected? :-)

Unfortunately I have to share my account and also leave my mac unattended
and "free" (no screensaver or login window...)

Thanks for your help, also if some kind of script could be added to Evx.

Ciao
Carlo
