OE 5 will not import from 4.5 a Google search seems to confirm that, so at least I am not crazy :) > If OE5 really can't import from 4.5 as above, maybe there's something wrong > with the data. If so, I think you can drag out messages (no more than 1000 > at a time) from 4.5 to a Finder folder to make files, and from there into OE > 5 or even into Entourage X. (It would be great if those OE 4.5 mail folder > files were the same as real MBOX files and could be dragged direct into > Entourage, but I'm pretty sure they weren't anything of the sort.) There's nothing wrong with the data. I'd love to launch 4.5, however 4.5 will not launch under Classic for me. It gives a shared library error. OE 5 launches 5. It just won't import from 4.5. > You can export Address Book (Contacts) as a text file and import it into > Entourage from the text file. I can't export them if I can't open them to begin with. Someone mentioned Entouraid a few weeks ago? I just downloaded the demo of that and it recovers 20 messages fro the OE mail files. The demo won't do more than that there's no longer any way to register it. I'd be happy to pay for it if it would solve this problem, which it seems to since it creates mbox files at least. Anyone else with an idea?
