Thanks again Paul. The OE 4.5 contacts file appears to be a non-standard file that nothing seems to recognize. The only solution seems to be to open it within OE 4.5 and the export it. Then Most of these apps will import it. But since I can open OE 4.5 in Classic, I'm stuck in a loop.
I got the mail imported through PowerMail, which gracefully exports Entourage mbox files, which just as gracefully imported into Entourage X. So at least the mail is settled. Now I just need to figure out the contacts issue. I have tried Palm Desktop 2.6, Entourage 2001, Personal Organizer, PowerMail, Netscape 4, OE 5 and Claris Emailer under Classic, as well as Entourage X, Palm Desktop 4, Apple's Address Book and Netscape 7 under Panther. None of them will recognize the OR 4.5 contacts file. Does anyone out there HAVE a functioning OE 4.5 that they'd be willing to export this contacts file for me into a usable format? It's small - not even a meg, but I need the addresses nonetheless. If anyone can help out, I'll be happy to make a $10 contribution to the charity or shareware author of their choosing (or just pay that person $10 if they prefer.. LOL) as a token of appreciation.
