The left column is for Groups. Clicking a name in the middle column should
not alter anything in the left column. It should, of course, change all the
details in the right section. Since you're selecting a different card, the
correct card should show up.

It sounds like Address Book is messed up. Just quit it and relaunch and see
if it's now OK. If not, write me off-list and I'll tell you how to fix the
Address Book database if it can be, or what to do otherwise.

This isn't an issue with the script nor with Entourage, but just with
Apple's Address Book.
