I’m running Entourage 2001 on OS 9.2.2.

First thing this a.m., got a “Preferences could not be opened, unknown error –4361” error message when trying to start Ent.  

Dumped Internet prefs and got same error message.

Dumped My Documents/MS User Data Folder/Office 2001 Ids/User prefs. Which did allow Entourage to start but I could not retrieve email from my POP account, Entourage said there was a connection failure. My ISP assured me the account was not corrupt and they could log on and download mail. I deleted the user account from Entourage and recreated it. Now I can retrieve email but there is no email being retrieved, even though I know there are more than 40 emails waiting on the ISPs server. Entourage behaves as if it finds no email to download.

Anyone have any ideas re: what else to try?
