We have .mac accounts which come with Virex but the only thing that I can
see this does automatically is scan whatever you set it to scan at log-in.
Anything else you have to do manually. Now I know at present we have no
known viruses out there for OS X but I don't want to wait for my home
network to be alive with the things before I know how to set things up to
avoid them. I'm a total beginner at AppleScript and I have no ambitions at
all to be a programmer, but what I would like to know is whether it would be
feasible to do the following: Using AppleScript (possibly with Virex's
command line interface) would it be possible to 'watch' our Entourage
attachments folders (I am right in assuming that the email itself can't
carry a virus?) and when items are added automatically invoke Virex to check
things? If it is can anyone suggest how I'd go about accomplishing this, or
where to look for ideas?

We're running 10.3.3 with Entourage 10.1.4, email on each computer on our
LAN is set to download at 5 minute intervals. I have a rule set to save
incoming attachments to an Entourage Attachments folder in Documents on each
computer.
