I have had problems in this "drag to the desktop" function:  I dragged three
hundred emails to a folder on the desktop, and found later that slightly
less than 200 actually made it.  10.3 and Office 10.1.4.

Next time, I simply selected 150 emails at a time and it worked very easily.
Same thing with addresses in moving things to Address Book.
