I just tested this scenario out on my copy of iPhoto (version 2.0) and Entourage 2004. The selected photo is correctly attached to a new email in Entourage with the proper icon (Preview) and extension (.jpg). The Subject line has the file name in it and there is in the body of the newly created email the name of the file as well. What version of iPhoto are you using?
