You can't edit a custom view without first selecting it, if that's what you
were wondering.
That's exactly what I was wondering, thanks.
Yeah; I've several times requested an easier way to edit them; for instance,
when a custom view is open in its own window, "Edit Custom View" should be
in the Edit menu. It isn't.
I almost never use the folder pane; I keep it closed. So editing a CV
entails possibly switching to a browser window, clicking the icon to
disclose the list, scrolling W-a-a-y down, clicking the CV I want (and
perhaps seeing things slow a bit as it gets built), and then finally
right-clicking on it to call up the menu that has "edit" in it. Yuk!
I thought about writing a script that would let me edit CVs. Nope; no way to
invoke an edit from the script (unless you get the CV selected in the window
and then use the GUI scripting commands to manipulate the menu, which saves
no time at all).

On 6/17/04 10:25 AM, Etan Greenbaum deftly typed out:
Ive been having a rather unpleasant Font interface display problem in
Entourage 2004. I had upgraded my system from Office X and had no problems but
decided to redo my system for other reasons. While it was initially working
fine, Entourage is now sometimes switching to displaying interface text in
some larger sans serif font. The text does not fit in the fields/buttons and
the whole interface is offset. I notice it in the search field, where the text
is large and right-justified.
Also in the New window for emails, events, tasks, etc. The subject of my
email also comes out right-justified and in a font that is larger than the
field. I have tried setting the font settings in Entourage back to defaults,
but it has not helped.
Are you, perhaps, using a font management utility? Could it have
auto-activated a font that is a duplicate of the font used in Entourage's
interface (Not Geneva, Helvetica, Verdana, Lucida Sans...)?
