Hello,

I'm probably being mind-boggingly stupid but...

I've just got a G5 to use in conjunction with my older PowerBook. To switch
Entourage 2004 to the new machine I thought it would simply involve copying
the MUD folder and a few preference files from the PB to the G5, install
Entourage on the G5 and that would be it....but it doesn't work! What am I
missing? Entourage on the G5 does not recognise the existence of the data in
the MUD folder and starts up fresh with no information.

I've used the 'Remove Office' app and trashed the Office 2004 install
several times, copied the PowerBook's MUD folder + preferences (as specified
on the Entourage MVP web site) to the G5 before and after running Entourage
for the first time, including various restarts and permissions repair -
still no go.

The only way I can get my information into Entourage is to 'Archive' the
PowerBook's info, and then 'Import' that file into the G5, but that means
hours of setting up accounts, rules, viewing preferences, dragging &
dropping folders etc etc - I've been on this excellent list for years (tho'
never posted) and have great respect for the programmers so I *know* it's
got to be simpler than this!

Many thanks in advance for any help and advice you may have.

Cheers,
Tony

PS: Both Macs are running OS X 10.3.4
