It's now working - but alas not by switching identities (I had tried that earlier, but gave it another go in case I'd missed something), but encouraged by your advice that it should work I investigated further. It turns out that the 'Database' file in the 'Main Identity' folder was not copying over the network correctly (it either did not copy at all, or the original 86MB file copied over as an 18MB file). So I mounted the PowerBook in Target Disk Mode via FireWire and copied the files across and now all appears to be working well. Any ideas as to what was going on here? The two Macs were networked via a Netgear ADSL modem/router. It's great that it's now working but scuppers my plans on simply copying the MUD folder across the network from the G5 when I want to go mobile. What am I doing wrong? Thanks again for your help.
