When that happens (empty database, but you know the real one is there
somewhere), try selecting "Switch Identity" from the Entourage menu, and see
if your Powerbook identity is listed there. I suspect it is. Unless it has
the default name of "Main Identity", Entourage will create a new, empty
"Main Identity."

The identity to use is kept in some pref file somewhere, and you are
probably not copying that one. Don't worry about it; just try the switching.
I think that should do the trick.
