Better searching would be good. Usually when I am searching it's for
something where the search is going to take a lot of time.

I haven't experienced this as I don't drag that many emails, but anything
thing in the user interface that is slow should be fixed.

Now this would be handy. I could then relate the images I see within the
message window with the files that they are.

The icon palette doesn't bother me except for the many times I click on the
Trash icon when I meant to click on Print.

It's something that is cosmetic, which doesn't bother me.

Are you then wanting the destination folder to use the same arranging? That
could be handy.

iTunes uses left and right arrow to move between tracks. Holding the Option
key down will jump between albums. Perhaps holding the Option key down would
be a good choice.

I haven't had a need to drag a folder to the desktop so I will leave this to
others.

It's not something I have encountered.

I don't fax. I send PDFs by email. Usually if I fax I am sending something
that I received as a hardcopy. But then I am sure there are people who still
need to fax.

Not sure what you mean? I have a view which displays unread messages. I have
an AppleScript to display the view. I have this available in the Mac OS X
AppleScript menu so I can easily jump to mail.

I would prefer it to just add the next message to the same windowlet, as in
a list, instead of closing the current windowlet and creating a new one. If
I then close the windowlet another should not appear for the current
receive. I like seeing the messages but there are times when someone is
sitting with me and I would rather not have them see the information
displayed.

This would be good, especially in an environment where several people are
using Entourage. Of course there are ways of creating new soundsets but
something built-in which uses standard sound formats would be better.

I never use the services menu. Some of the items look useful but I never
seem to think about using it.

Now for some things I have thought about:

- You should be able to choose what items to display in the message list
pane when displaying the preview pane on the right. I would like to see the
date a message was sent instead of when it is received.

- I would also like to choose what details to display in the header of the
preview pane, like date sent or which folder it is in.

- When auto-correcting words you should have a popup menu like Word 2004, so
you can change it back or change auto-correct features.

- You should be able to list all instant messaging details for a contact

- Opening a vCard file which has the same contact name as someone in the
Entourage address book should allow you to merge the details. I recently
discovered the Mac OS X Address Book does this.

- Better integration with Exchange. It has a long way to go to get it
anywhere near the feature set of Outlook for Windows when it comes to
Exchange servers.

- Incorporate iSync that will come with Mac OS X Tiger.

I would love the iSync capability and some improvement with Exchange to come
as a service pack and not in a purchasable next version of Office. I can't
wait that long for those features
